Particularly because of the water garden that Anna cultivates in her backyard, she was blessed with an opportunity to be introduced to Master Dennis K. Chin, a visual image provider, a photography magazine columnist and a retired photojournalist whose photographic works deeply inspired her. With Master Chin's attentive guidance and generosity in sharing his sixty plus years of experience and expertise, she has developed special interests in floral macro-photography and travel photography for both personal pleasure and expression. Her floral pictures have won a couple of first place awards in the amateur division at local contests including the Four Seasons Garden Photography Contest presented by The Dallas Arboretum and D Home Magazine and the "On My Own Time" Art Show Photography Contest sponsored by Dallas Business Committee for the Arts.
Photographing has been such an enjoyable activity for Anna that she would be impulsively drawn to chances to be out exploring the gorgeous wonders of nature. Lotuses and water lilies from her pond as well as various flowers in her yard, the Dallas Arboretum, the Tyler Rose Garden, and wildflowers in Texas have often served as her favorite models when time does not permit her to travel far. The photographic trips that she has taken to Europe and China, as well as in the United States, have all been unforgettable eye-opening experiences that bring new appreciation of the natural world. Through selected perspectives of her camera and lenses, Anna wishes to give nature's beauty and its forever changing appearance, be it grand or small, a long lasting life. |
